It is just the first online step in your list building program. However, some marketers may combine a sales page and a squeeze page.

How do you get your visitors to part with their contact information? The squeeze page will offer them some kind of incentive to do this, such as a free ebook, video or exclusive access to a special section on your website. You might give them a message such as “Get your free ebook. Download the ‘7 Secrets To Fast Fat Loss’ right now. Please enter your name and e-mail address for immediate access to your free ebook”. Usually you will include an enticing graphic of the ebook cover.

Both of you win in the process. They get some valuable information and you add one more name to your double optin list. You are in effect ’squeezing’ them to give you their details. In many instances, you will only begin to make real money blogging online if you have succeeded in building a substantial double opt in list. This takes time, so the earlier you get the process going, the better.
